My mentor, my life, my future....

For what purpose did i start to do this Central Label business? There're so many things out there that i wanna do. I wanna be in show biz, become a pilot and make a movie!
But hey, you know what? I think i have found a motivation, even though it's not firmly rooted in my life yet. I wanna do this for my future wife and children. I wanna lay a super solid foundation now so that i can give them the best things in life. If i can succeed, my wife and kids, and me, would be sacked for life!
You can call me very traditional, but actually, i wouldn't want my wife to be working. I'd really like her to be a housewife. I would like her to spend quality time with our kids, at least until they have turned 12 or something. I would really love to purchase a colonial mansion that sits on a big plot of land with an old giant tree for me to build a tree house on. I want my young children to have as much space to run around, to climb trees and to fall down. I wanna climb the tree house with my kids. It'll be awesome because we can do so many things with them in there! We can share stories, play games or just tickle each other to 'death!' It would be an awesome way for them to get close to nature in their own backyard.
In other words, i want to become wealthy enough to provide my family with a good life, and when everything is accomplished, i'd probably sell all my businesses and travel the world for one whole year together with my family!
Haha, but first, sigh....i've gotta find my life companion, or someone who is willing to have my child.
Ok, having said that, that doesn't mean i'm gonna give up on my other dreams, the dream of flying, movie making and becoming a celebrity of sorts.
Right now though, i've gotta focus on the situation at hand. It's kinda like taking bitter medicine now, know what i mean?
I've got an awesome mentor in my life! To not learn from him would be such a waste. It really pains me that not many people know about him. He is one person who walks the talk, and i'm striving to put his guidances into practice. I strongly urge you, my faithful reader, to do the same! You can never find a person like him ever again, not even in another million years. He is old now, and he won't last very long, so better grab every chance you can to seek him out!
I'm thinking of doing some video recordings to upload them on YouTube, and i'm also thinking of starting my own podcast, probably modeling it after "PlanetJapan." "Pore-Planet-Singa" perhaps? Doug! Would you be my "podcast" mentor?

Working from home...the last few days before NDP 07
Working from home is pretty tough actually. Honestly, until now, i'm still clueless as to which direction i should take. I have alot of dreams and ideas, but somehow i can't take that second step, and if i don't take that second step, nothing will materialise.
My job as a volunteer reporter for the SSA is interesting no doubt, but kinda time consuming too. Anyway, i believe that if i wanna volunteer to do something, it means that i wanna do my best without getting a cent from it, so, i shouldn't be complaining! I should aspire to write the best articles for the organisation, and create a "journalistic revolution" within the organisation!

Yet a couple more people from my NDP group got hospitalised. Like what my trainer said, we are a strong group, and hence, the "devilish functions" will hit us even harder. We have to be vigilent, and continue chanting lots of daimoku. Last monday, i was down with high fever, which lasted until tuesday. Good thing it wasn't dengue! Scared the hell outta me man.
Well, looks like my PPL has officially lapsed. Gotta find time to go for my class II medical checkup again. Really miss taking to the skies though...ahhh... :-(

An Update...
Ok...gonna move my office back home. Not an easy thing. I'm still so blur about doing business!
I've got a registered address now, yippee! But how do i set up my own system? Hmm...well...Johor factory has already set up a system for our communication. But my own system...how ah????
I gotta go full steam ahead. No looking back now. Expand Central Label to include other businesses. Oh shoot! My Business Plan is still not up yet! Arghhh!!!
After that, develop my aviation business.
Dreams...i have too many dreams!

Hi again...
Ok...i have not posted anything here for the longest time!
Right...let's see...umm...
1. I still love watching 'Bleach' the anime.
2. Love listening to 'PlanetJapan' podcast.
3. Am involved in Singapore's National Day Parade.
4. Still struggling with my busi-ness/personal life.
Umm...today is the 11th of June, 2007, a Monday.
Things are going on pretty smoothly so far, apart from the minor car accident i had yesterday (which was kinda stupid i must say)

Just another entry...
Heard of Def Tech before? They are by far one of the most phenomenal musical duos in Japan. Their rise to fame is exponential! Literally from zero to hero!
I was introduced to thier music by some Japanese friends of mine, and i must say that i was totally blown away! Their brand of music is know as "Jawaiian." From what i gather, "Jawaiian" incorporates Jamaican & Hawaiian raggae music, Japanese J-pop, as well as Hip Hop/R&B. It's a smooth blend of musical styles, to me at least. But what really impressed me was the things that they sing about. They're not just a bunch of boyband wannabes who sing only about love, relationships and sex (although I don't think that's a very bad thing either), rather, they sing about issues like discrimination, women's rights friendship etc.
One of the Def Tech members, Micro, happens to be a very active SGI member as well, which probably explains lyrics.
I love the SGI!

Book review...
What can i say about "The Buddha, Geoff and Me?" It's an awesome book! Buddhism equals daily life is being incorporated into this book perfectly. It is a Buddhist book written in a non-Buddhist fashion; it totally defies the stereotype about Buddhism that most people might have. The author is Edward Canfor-Dumas, a very active SGI-UK member. A significant point to note about the book's publication day, Thursday, July 7th, 2005, is that it coincided not only with the terrorist attacks in London but also with the opening of the "Gandhi, King & Ikeda Peacebuilders" exhibition in The Harlequin shopping centre.
Below is the summary of the story written at the back of the book:
'Ed is having a hard time at work, in his love life and, well, generally. Then he meets an unlikely Buddhist who drinks and smokes and talks his kind of language. Bit by bit, things begin to change... Ed doesn’t always take Geoff’s advice. Or, when he does he lapses at the crucial moment. His path to understanding is not a straight one, especially as life keeps throwing more and more ‘stuff’ at him. Often he fails like most of us, in fact. But sometimes he manages to get it right. And when he does, surprising things begin to happen...'
To give a brief description, the novel is set in London during the summer of 2000 and follows protagonist Ed, whose life is falling apart. While looking for solace in a pub during lunchtime, he gets roped in to help Geoff, who has taken it upon himself to flush out the blocked tank in the gents' toilet, in completing his task. Opening the cover of a blocked sewage tank and plunging an arm into the vile contents to clear a blockage might sound like unusual behaviour for a spiritual teacher, but that is exactly what the friendly Buddhist Geoff does in the opening scene. It's not a pleasant job but, as Geoff explains, it needed doing and he wasn't prepared to ignore it, as the stench was affecting everyone in the pub.
At first Ed's problems seem to get worse, but he receives unexpected advice from Geoff who explains some of the principles of Nichiren Buddhism to him. As Ed struggles to deal with his problems, Geoff's wisdom starts to make sense, in spite of Ed's cynical attitude towards religion. Geoff is not a monk or a priest, he is but an ordinary working man living in the real world. Although they aren't old friends, Ed would somehow always look for Geoff and pour his problems out.
Through Geoff, Ed also got to meet a Buddhist recruitment consultant who encourages him to become a best-selling writer by following Buddhist principles.
I shall not divulge too much of the story. However, to me, one of the factors that made me so attracted to this book was the way Buddhist principles were being explained. For example, does any one of you have any idea what WCC is? No? Well, go find out for yourself! :-)
Oh, and by the way, i'll let you in on a little secret embedded in this book. The opening letters, the ones that are in bold capital letters, of each chapter (there are 16 chapters by the way), form a really wonderful word. I strongly urge all of you to get a copy of this book! Please don't just read it, enjoy and learn from it to the maximum!
